At the Expocenter in Moscow, the leading annual event in the Russian art industry - the 11th International Fair of Contemporary Art Cosmoscow was gained. The galleries which were in the Design section and this year’s new members were particularly impressed. Booroom Gallery presented an elegant composition of sculptures by Rui Matos, which form a close relationship between idea and material, objects of art by Roxana Lahidji, a social designer specializing in the development and use of environmental materials, Christophe Delcourt, a man who created design icons in the new millennium.

Incredible graphics by Valentina Apukhtina, in which the natural, psychomental is almost inseparable from the “cultural”. Art objects by the Japanese ceramic artist Tomonari Hashimoto were also presented here, which amaze with their unique technique, in which the ceramics look like a mix of oxidized and rusty metal. The works of Masao Yamamoto, an outstanding Japanese photographer who uses the silver-gelatin printing technique, manually ages and softly tones the photographs, trying to emphasize the fragility and fleetingness of the images he creates.

The unique work of Li Chevalier, a French artist born in Beijing, is based on the desire to find a balance between Western reason and Chinese thought, which recognizes the impermanence of life. A subtle highlight of the stand was the sculptural SONO chair, designed and handcrafted by Anacleto Spazzapan in 1996. The exhibition was elegantly complemented by works by artist John Franzen, associated with meditative and virtuosic graphics, and “Functional sculptures” by Lena Solovyeva.

The Rhizome console, as well as the delightful graphics, reminded the passion of Japan of its creator Pierre Bonnefille. The composition of the stand was elegantly complemented by the sculpture vessels “Strochka” by Lyudmila Krutikova, as well as a series of sculptures by Anisa Poyan “The Path”, expressing the idea of development and continuous growth.

Manner & Matter, the first marketplace in Russia for object design, was impressed with the contrasting composition of its stand from designer pieces of furniture, lighting, and decor. The “Bird” tapestry was adjacent to the “Red Planet” and “Dark Planet Rahu” wall lamps, and the futuristic Ellipse console from the Stone Story sculptural collection was tied into a composition with the “Waves and Particles” wooden pouf and chairs based on Japanese Xiang Armchair motifs.
