The All-Russian Decorative Art Museum presents a unique exhibition reflecting Kuban's everyday life and traditions through object design, smells, and sounds. Yulia Loboyko, curator of the exhibition and founder of the Palaty (Chambers) Gallery, has set to tell about her native Krasnodar region in a new way. For the exhibition they specially developed fragrances associated with the culture of the region.
Each of the three halls has a specific aroma attached to it to enhance a visitor’s immersion. The aroma is presented on natural materials, such as stone or fabric, and can be “tasted” by opening a special flask. Presented art objects were made by the authors in 2023 specifically for the exhibition. These are a series of handmade vases "Fingerprint", a mosaic panel from the Soviet smalt made in the style of "macramé", clay dolmens for the interior, and other items characterizing the Kuban way of life.
