The Tretyakov Gallery presented an exhibition project dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Alexei Shchusev, one of the most significant Russian architects, a brilliant graphic artist, and an original museum curator. The central theme of the exhibition was the Museum - the goal and feature of Shchusev's thinking. The exposition includes architectural projects, sketches of interior design, and unique photographs related to the most significant creations of Shchusev in the field of the temple and civil architecture in Moscow - the Marfo-Mariinsky Cloister, and the Kazansky railway station.

The Tretyakov Gallery carefully restored many sketches over the past decade and had been exhibited them for the first time. The graphic works of the master presented in the same space with the works of famous artists of the modern era, also involved in these projects: A.N. Benois, Z.E. Serebryakova, M.V. Dobuzhinsky, B.M. Kustodieva, E.E. Lansere, and M.V. Nesterov.
